Abstract

Tim Kao is the Chinese-American lead singer and guitar player for Shanghai-based rock band Mint, which will be performing along with Ferris Wheel at Shanghaiist Happy Hour III this Friday at Shuffle Bar. Mint is made up of Kao, Ben Two (lead guitar), Zhang Jian (bass) and Xu Xiaolian (drums). Shanghaiist caught up with Kao, who teaches math at SMIC Private School, for a couple cold beers at a smoke-filled blues bar in one of the seedier neighborhoods in Shanghai ... well, actually we just chatted on MSN.
